The month of May is Neurofibromatosis Awareness Month
Neurofibromatosis (NF) is the umbrella name given to three genetic disorders that affect nerve tissue: NF1, NF2 & Schwannomatosis. Put simply it means your tumour suppressor does not function properly and every nerve cell in your body has the potential to become a tumour. Despite the discovery of the genes for the 3 disorders, there is still no cure.
For the entire month of May we will have donation box in our office. Your donations to this very worthy and much under represented cause will be greatly appreciated. Delivering support is vital and increasingly important to families, adolescents and adults isolated by a diagnosis of NF. The funds we raise will support the Children’s Tumour Foundation of Australia, who are dedicated to funding research, raising awareness and providing support. Every donation counts.
We will be hosting a morning tea on NF Awareness Day 17th May to help raise further funds. Your support is greatly appreciated.
